Company History:
- 1991: Sadel is founded in Bologna as spin-off from the University
- 1996: It designs DSP control boards and develops its proprietary operating system
- 1997: It designs and realizes Resistance Welding Inverter based on IGBT technology (CRW)
- 1998: It realizes the power and control electronics for wind generators (VETRO)
- 1999: It designs inverter for motion control that can be used on different sizes of speed variators
- 2001: It designs control modules for high voltage power supplies (MAT17kV)
- 2002: It develops and realizes electronic controls for DC/AC converters designed for railcars (DCAC-FS) and inverters for airport lights (INVTRO)
- 2003: On TSF request, Sadel designs the device known as OBoE which is the on-board tracking and communication system for TSF-Trenitalia
- 2004: Sadel's Quality System gets the ISO 9001:2000 certification
- 2004: It reengineers Resistance Welding Inverter based on IGBT technology (SEAM-S)
- 2006: It realizes the Coach Audio Amplifier system SAX3N for diesel trains ALN663 and ALN668 for TSF-Trenitalia
- 2007: Sadel designs and develops the video information system DOVE6 and the on-board communication system DOC3N for middle-distance trains for TSF-Trenitalia
- 2008: It delivers OBoE and the train-conductor display called ECCOTI on long-distance trains (ETR500, ETR4xx, Eurostar City IC901) for TSF-Trenitalia
- 2008: Sadel installs DOVE6-DOC3N system for TSF-Trenitalia on the train ETR500 Frecciarossa for inauguration of high speed railway between Milan and Bologna
- 2009: Sadel produces 1000 units of the coach audio amplifier called SAX3N-568 for TSF-Trenitalia and delivers on different kind of middle-distance trains and commuter ones
- 2010: It realizes and produces DOVE6-DOC3N system for TSF-Trenitalia on the whole fleet ETR500 Frecciarossa
