PAC - PASSENGER AUDIO CONTROLLER

OVERVIEW

PAC is a digital audio public address system for delivering standard PA messages and high-priority warnings to the passengers and to broadcast music and entertainment audio. In addition the train staff handset and passenger emergency interphone allow communication between passengers and train staff to locomotive and train conductor cabs.
The train level data communication is developed with a double Ethernet connection ensuring redundancy and fault tolerant features to the implemented IP backbone network.
The audio processing and amplification use state of the art devices like high efficiency 50 Watt class D amplifier, analog microphone preamplifier with variable compression and programmable digital audio processor.

SAI - STAFF AUDIO INTERFACE

OVERVIEW

The Staff Audio Interface (SAI) is an audio public address system for broadcasting music, delivering high - priority warnings to the passengers which allows also interphone communication with locomotive cab and central control point.
The 30 Watt D class high - efficiency coach audio amplifier is in compliance with UIC568 standard. The SAI interfaces to the train’s data bus in order to receive the audio signal, to amplify and transmit it to the passengers and train’s crew.
It is equipped with a handset with a Push to Talk (PTT)pushbutton and other buttons and switches to control the complete audio system.
The SAI is electronically and mechanically interchangeable with the coach’s audio units currently in use on existing rolling stock.

PEI - PASSENGER EMERGENCY INTERCOM

OVERVIEW

The Passenger Emergency Intercom (PEI) allows the communication between passengers and train staff.
The type of the train defines the receiving position of the emergency request: train driver cabin, train conductor cabin or the ground station could be potential end users of the incoming call.
The PEI subsystem can be designed with analog UIC-568 or VOIP technology upon customer request. In both solutions a serial interface with isolated RS422 or RS485 establishes a communication line with the audio announcement coach device to provide diagnostic and working condition information. In this way a comprehensive solution with video surveillance could be offered to the train operator. It is possible to adapt the mechanical layout of this product to the train constructor needing. Moreover the pushbutton, connectors and leds could be designed upon customer request.
